We need to reattach spirals , check supports are upright and identify any seedlings that haven’t taken so we can plant replacements. After lunch we shall go to a field boundary near Overdene to remove tall grass that has grown within tree tubes along a row of specimen trees. Come for a short while, or stay all day.
If you are coming for the day, please bring plenty to drink. Cakes, sandwiches and savouries will be provided to keep energy levels up!! Hand tools to clear tussocks of grass,/thick roots of weeds would be helpful. Please wear stout gloves and footwear, plus waterproofs in case the weather changes.
Nearest public toilets are at Tyne Riverside at Low Prudhoe. If you want to treat yourselves Tyne Riverside Cafe does huge butties and pies to take away!!!
